Everyone knows that it has been a tough few years for nonprofits. Is it still possible to fundraise? It is! There is still money available, but you have to know where to go and how to get it.
Organizations are scrambling to do more with less. But that doesn't mean you should ignore your strategic and fundraising plans. Latching on to every idea that comes around just because it is there is a recipe for disaster. It burns out donors, overwhelms volunteers and gives the appearance of a lack of sound management. If your strategic and fundraising plans are sound stick to them.
Often it is difficult to tell if an organization needs to bring in a consultant. Are you having trouble raising money? Do you even have a fundraising plan? Call a consultant. Are you the best kept secret in town? Are you having trouble recruiting volunteers or board members? Call a consultant. Does your board need help learning to be a great board? Do you need great marketing material? Call a consultant.
